That’s a fork in the road on the way to becoming a professional.
This reminds me a lot of words you hear often from new translators. “But that’s what it says in the French.” It’s something you seldom hear from professionals. It’s not our fault that the French is stilted or strange or sometimes plain wrong. But it is our responsibility to help improve the finished product.
